Products in this category are mostly seeds that grow plants which bees, butterflies and hummingbirds use for their food (the plants produce quality nectar or pollen), as well as a few products that come from my chemical-free bee hives in CA. Most heirloom plants, especially herbs and flowers, are well suited for ancient natural pollinators like honey bees, Apis mellifera.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Bees, hummingbirds and many butterflies are among a small, highly evolved group of planetary animals that do NOT feed on any other species at all, be it plant or animal, unlike humans. They only eat nectar and pollen, and are immensely beneficial to many other species of plants and animals alike. In terms of inter-species coexisting-peacefully evolution, this is the top of the peak, unlike humans who annihilate thousands of species every year. Bees are very enlightened animals. They can navigate for miles and return home, communicate where and when to swarm or find food, recognize specific human faces, and even count to four. Yes, bees can count! All of the bees that gather food all spring for the lean winter are all dead before it ever comes. They do it to keep their community alive forever. Bees are not self-centered, unlike humans. They live for the hive, and they die for the hive.
Honey Bees are a highly evolved, homogeneous, matriarchal society comprised of a single Queen, about 80,000 female worker bees in spring, and about a dozen stinger-less male drones who serve and feed the Queen Bee. The Queen mates with multiple drones before starting a hive, and then never mates again, instead she stores the semen for up to seven years for her eggs and then she produces well over 100,000 beautiful baby bees per year! Totally amazing, highly evolved beings.
