Q1: Do you have a brick & mortar Store?
A: NO. The online store is your only option. No pick up. No catalog either. Local Morgan Hill zoning laws restrict the pick up of orders in the non-commercial area where I ship from. Twenty five to 45 years ago I co-owned a Natural Food Store surrounded by tall redwoods on Hwy 9 next to Gold Creek in south Felton, CA, but that is fading history now. (Besides, it was more wood and cement than brick and mortar. Bricks tend to fall down in Earthquake Country.)
Q2: Will you supply me with a Postal Tracking number?
A: YES. You will get not one but two--yes TWO--emails giving you the ship day and the USPS tracking number. All orders will have tracking via the U.S. Postal Service. One email comes from Stamps.com the day of actual postage purchase, and the other from my website a bit later when I mark it shipped. Note for the mentally-challenged reptilian brains: If your supplied email is incorrect or invalid, then you will never get any notices.
Q3: Do you know when my Order will arrive?
A: NO, of course not. I really don't know, so please don't ask me to predict your future. You can always contact a psychic to ask such mysterious questions. Even the best psychics have trouble with predicting the future.
Delivery depends entirely upon the U.S. Postal Service, which I do not own or control, and is often run more like a big government agency than a real business. I can only control when I ship, and let you know.
Small, one-item orders will get priority and ship faster. Larger orders may take many hours to pack, and they often get put off until I have a block of time, like on a Saturday. Large orders may also require a restock of seeds, or making new labels for new products.
As to travel/arrival times, once mailed, I have seen first class travel 2,000 miles in a single day and I have seen priority mail take 20 days to travel across one state. I had a package sidetrack to Puerto Rico for an apparent tropical vacation, and several packages sit unattended in a postal bin in Oakland, CA for a full week, hopefully enjoying the odoriferous ambiance of our green 'Oaksterdam.'
Q4: Do you reship if someone STEALS my package after it is delivered?
A: NO, sorry, but that is a local issue between you and the USPS and the police. USPS Mail theft is a Federal Crime and should be reported. Check with housemates, neighbors and your local postal carrier the same or very next day. Sometimes it gets delivered the next day, sometimes it went to the neighbor or a roommate. If postal theft is an issue at your house or neighborhood, add Delivery Signature to your order and you will have to sign for it in person. They will not just leave it for thieves to steal while you are at work like most responsible people.
Q5: Can you get me my order by a certain date?

Q7: Can I use my friend's/relative's/lover's credit Card to order from you?
A: NO. Use your own card. Or have them order and deliver to their house. I have strict fraud protections built into the website and my Policy Page. Using a card that is not yours will not be allowed and your order will likely be cancelled. If you have mismatched shipping and billing addresses, your order will be held until I make contact with you via email. I lose customers and once or twice a year someone goes ape-sh!t bonkers at me over this policy, but in 2018 and 2019 we had ZERO chargebacks from this website (unlike my eBay store), which means we can keep prices low by not having honest customers pay for the actions of dishonest customers, as is typical in business. When people steal from a company, the rest of their honest customers pay for it with higher prices. It is just built into the margins and markups.
Q8: What is the best way to Contact you?
A: EMAIL. Use the Contact page! Phone calls are not returned as quickly, if at all, and you may get only one attempt. Email can be sent and read at all hours of the day and night, not just during limited shipping hours. You can use the Contact Page. People who call to ask how to grow plants will rarely, if ever, get a call back. That is information you can find all over the web. Even on my site. Or at Strictly Medicinal Seeds. Or anywhere else that does not require pulling on my limited time and energy for something so basic and easy to find. Generally, I cannot tell you any more than what is available on my website already. It is not my function here to babysit amateur gardeners. We have 'Google Search' for that. A: YES, all our seeds and other products have been thoroughly researched and vetted with all national and most state statutes. The only legal issues are with Cannabis seeds in some very retro-red, Nixonian-era rural States. Federal Law now allows hemp products, CBD, and cannabis seeds as long as the THC content is 0.3% or less. Seeds have 0% THC. BUT, some state laws still prohibit Cannabis seeds. While some mature plants may contain illegal chemicals or alkaloids, their seeds rarely do. For example, Ephedra sinica stems contain the stimulant ephedrine, which is currently subject to federal restrictions, but the seeds of ephedra do not contain any alkaloids at all, so I can sell them freely. Same with Kratom. Mimosa seeds are drug free, but the root bark of the mature plant contains a Schedule 1 drug and is subject to federal restrictions. Same with Acacia confusa. Also, US Federal law prohibits the possession of 'poppy straw,' or the dried pods of the opium poppy plant, but it specifically exempts poppy seeds. We may not be aware of your particular local plant laws in the backwoods of the conservative South (for example), so it is your responsibility to be aware of local laws and abide by them. We only research state and federal laws, NOT city or county laws, which would be a never-ending task. Most seeds are exempt from legal issues, although many states declare various species as invasive plants. For example, Arizona did this to morning glory plants, and many seed vendors will not sell seeds to customers in Arizona. However, we do, since this law limits the Arizona residents as to what they can plant, but it is actually not illegal to sell the seeds, or to possess these seeds, or even to eat them; just to grow them. Two of my best-selling seeds, rue and hemlock, are designated as invasive weeds in California, but I can freely buy and sell them here, and plant them. However, cotton seeds are specifically illegal to import into CA. Nevada made some Datura seeds illegal to even possess and that is a broad, inclusive restriction upon all seed sellers. Then again, because Yopo seeds contain small amounts of a Schedule 1 chemical known as the 'God Molecule,' I am no longer allowed to sell them due to restrictions from my card processing company. Discover Card employs fake buyers who make purchases of Yopo online, then they complain to the card processing company that they are colluding with that seller in the violation of Federal Law. My product choice is controlled mostly by Wall Street, and not the DEA, although the DEA has been making arrests for possession of yopo-type botanicals. Too many movie stars on the morning news blabbing about their ayahuasca experience. Everyone knows now. Amazon banned us selling African dream herb on their site, falsely claiming it was a hallucinogen. It is not, but they are too stupid to figure out the truth. Card companies do not like us selling Datura stramonium, which is on some secret lists of banned plants, but the comparable Datura inoxia they are fine with. So sometimes the rules are not fact-based, but more fantasy-based, and they embrace a "you must just do it because we say so" mentality. I had one card processing company refuse to give me their list of banned botanicals. It was a secret, literally, but I was still required to follow their secret rules. We had to part company.
Q10: Is your 'Syrian Rue' really from Syria?
A: NO. Rue comes from many parts of Asia, not just Syria. Due to political and human rights concerns, we do not trade with or sell products from any of the following countries: Iran, North Korea, Russia, Belarus and/or Syria.
I will trade with and buy from such questionable countries as Cuba, China, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Vietnam, as well as most other countries in the world that may have some of the same issues, but to a much lesser degree. I also wish that China would remove itself from both Tibet and Hong Kong and I support independence for both countries. China is a big bully, and no friend of the USA, but that is the only place to get ephedra, a key sacred plant, so...
Q11: Do you sell wholesale?
A: YES. Products that we have an abundance of, such as belladonna or rue, will be offered with reduced prices in a bullet menu on that particular page. No need to ask! Q12: The 3Ws: Who, Where and Why are you?
A: White Buffalo Trading Company is family owned and operated since 2011. We are located in central California, and were established by a shaman who communes with Plant Spirits for guidance and who works for the benefit of the Plant Kingdom. The Sacred Spirit of the White Buffalo was the first Spirit to guide our founder many decades ago, hence the company name. - A couple times a year I may manually enter the wrong person's tracking info via human error. My bad. If the tracking number I give you is not actually going to you, then contact me immediately for the correct info.

- Allow 2-22 days for order shipment. If you have no email with tracking, then your order has NOT shipped. See the Home Page for current ship times. They vary from two to twenty two days, depending on volume.

- Impatient, hopped-up bobble-heads who place an order, never read this page or the Policy Page, then immediately write me to ask when I will ship their order, drooling with anticipation like an animated puppy and trying to pull my energy into their singular self-centered bubble, will automatically be assessed a one-day shipping delay penalty.

Q5: Can you get me my order by a certain date?
- NO! If this is a small order (under one pound total weight or under $50 in value), then you should purchase the Priority Mail postage upgrade for 99 cents as well. Even then, it will still take one to three days for normal priority travel time. So plan ahead! It is your responsibility to plan your life. It is not my responsibility to change my policies and practices just to fix your problem.
- I do NOT ever ship via Overnight Mail: it is too expensive, too labor intensive, and too deadline intense, and does not always even work.
