French Green Bentonite Clay, Pure, 2 sizes
100% Pure French Green Bentonite Clay. Screw top plastic container or bulk pound plastic bag. From France. Many uses. Traditionally used as a poultice for bites and pimples or as a facial pack for removing oils and dirt from clogged pores. Same clay that you find in high-end spas.
Due to its unique reverse electrical polarity (given to it in the explosive bowels of an ancient, volcanic eruption), do NOT store this clay in any metal containers or ever touch with metal spoons. Plastic or wood containers and utensils only.
Often used in traditional folklore for intestinal cleansing and the detox of heavy metals, however, this product is not approved by the FDA for internal use or as a medicine or drug, therefore, it is sold for external use only. However, nobody is going to follow you to see what you do with it.
Mixing to Activate Clay:
Bentonite Clay needs to be mixed with water to be activated for use.
I use a quart size mason jar with a lid about 3/4 full of water. I start with two heaping tablespoon of Bentonite clay powder (remember it's just mud, so it's not an exact science). Then I put the lid on and shake well for 15 to 20 seconds. Then allow to sit for two hours; the clay will activate. Then I shake it up again.
I keep the 'mud' stored in that mason jar with the lid on, or a clean plastic yogurt container, in a cabinet at room temperature. If it starts to dry out over time, just add a bit more water and remix.
CA Prop 65 Warning: All dirt and earth products, including bentonite clay, contain trace amounts of lead. This clay has half the normal lead content of garden soil. Normally, lad would be an issue. But the small amount of lead is bound to the clay and is not released into the body at all. The unique chemistry of bentonite is in the electrical binding properties.
