5 Ipomoea Quamoclit (Hummingbird Vine) seeds, USDA Organic, Ore
Hardy in frost free areas, otherwise an annual. 60 days to flowering.
AKA: Cypress Vine, Cardinal Climber, Cypress vine, Red Morning Glory, Cardinal Vine Creeper, Red Star Morning Glory Cardinal Creeper, Hummingbird Vine. Its name is likely derived from the indigenous Nahuatl language of Mexico.
Perennial vine native to the tropics of Central America. The plant is a fast climber, being one of the best of all possible hummingbird attractors, displaying dozens of deep crimson, five-pointed trumpets from early summer through late fall.
Prefers moist soil, full sun, and a 10-foot trellis. Nick seeds, soak overnight in hot water, and plant the swollen seeds the next day. The plants will thrive in normal garden soil without fertilizer.
5 seeds/pkt, Certified Organically Grown in Oregon.
