20 Peruvian Torch Cactus seeds, Trichocereus peruvianus, San Marcos
Seeds come from near San Marcos, a town in northern Peru at about 7,000 ft. in the coastal mountains. Hardy to about 30F. Withstands light frost only.
Cacti prefer full sun, well draining soils and light water, especially in winter. The magnificent flowers are huge, bright white and a bee magnet, with short spines but long enough to hurt. Fast growing.
I prefer a mix of half sand with half commercial cactus mix; place the seeds on top, lightly cover with a thin layer of perlite, and add a humidity dome during the germination phase.
20 seeds per packet. Open Pollinated, Untreated, NO GMOs.
NOTE: Seeds do NOT contain alkaloids.
