100 Mennonite Lancaster Sure Crop Dent Corn seeds
Developed by a Mennonite elder in Lancaster, Pennsylvania who set about creating the perfect corn for his needs.
By 1910 he stopped mixing superior corns together and began selecting for early maturity, disease resistance, yield, large ears and stability. Thus Lancaster Sure Crop was born.
There are many uses for dent corns such as silo corn, hominy, masa harina, corn chips, posole, corn bread, corn muffins, hush puppies, corn fritters, grits, and corn soup, etc.
Towering 10 -12' tall plants with long 10 - 12" narrow ears. Stalks grow extremely tall and have an excellent root system to prevent lodging.
