95 days. The classic heirloom buttercup, the best tasting of all the winter squashes. Sweeter than even an acorn or butternut, this is my personal favorite, along with the Lakota.
A northern New England favorite. Great culinary attributes for an open-pollinated variety: creamy, deep orange flesh with a rich, sweet, cup-of-butter flavor. Just add a dash of salt and a tab of butter and dig in. 'Winter squash' are typically dried in fall and stored for eating in winter.
