Shiny, black-coated seeds. Actually used as brooms in the old days. Nice displays.

Heavy producer with 8 to 12 stems per plant, Each stem is topped with one 8-14" seed head. Quite striking once the black seeds develop and mature. Tall 8-12 ft. plants best grown at least one foot apart, Likes warm weather. Germ min. of 60-70F. Needs high nutrients to grow large heads.

Not in the corn family, actually a grain that can be grown with corn. May been protection from birds,
