Not considered a beginners book on how to grow, but simply the best resource in San Pedro identification ever written.

The blurb on the back cover states: "More than you need to know." This is certainly true, unless the reader wants all of the very exhaustive, detailed information about the Trichocereus species, subspecies, strains, varieties, field identification, botanical classification and the naming of the cacti, and so on, and on, and on. Comprehensive is the operative word here, and detailed. A digest for experts, researchers and connoisseurs. With almost 900 photos, worth maybe a thousand words each, it delivers.
A must have for any true devotee of this species.
