90 days. A mix of white and purple seeds. Asian sweet corn seeds. One of two Asian varieties grown by this farm. Seed stock grown in CA, coming over with immigrants from Laos some years ago and passed on exclusively to White Buffalo Trading Co. This strain is very rare. Even from China they do not offer any purple waxy corn. This variety is not as sweet as the yellow or white.
High gluten, waxy, sticky Asian Corn. About five thousand years ago, corn from the Americas traveled to Asia and over time became much denser and higher in gluten. Now back in the Americas.
Separate Asian corn from other corns by at least 200 yards to prevent kernel cross-mixing. Grow separate from other corns. Standard corn growing protocols. Takes about 2-3 months to maturity and about 6 ft. tall.
Hard kernels of Asian corn must be boiled to 25-30 minutes to become edible.
