20 Bolivian Torch Cactus seeds, Trichocereus bridgesii, Achuma
Perennial cactus native to Bolivia. Trichocereus bridgesii was temporarily called Echinopsis lageniformis, but now belongs to Trichocereus again. It is a very fast growing columnar cactus from the high deserts of Bolivia. Used by native shaman for many centuries or even millennia. Rare.
Hardy to Zones 8 to 12, withstands light frost, but usually grown as a potted plant and brought indoors or sheltered for the winter. Avoid water during winter dormancy. Avoid frost.
Cacti prefer full sun, well draining soils and light watering. The flowers are white and huge, the torso with long enough spines to hurt.
I prefer a mix of half sand with half commercial cactus mix; place the seeds on top, lightly cover with a thin layer of perlite, and (optional) add a humidity dome during the germination phase.
20 seeds per packet, Open Pollinated, Untreated, NO GMOs. More than 20 will come in the same pack. Hand counted to each order.
NOTE: Seeds do NOT contain alkaloids.
