Herbaceous perennial, native to Turkmenistan in Central Asia. Rare. Flowers are yellow with violet veins and broad leaves. Plant prefers partial to full shade and moist soil. Sow seeds in early spring. Sprinkle seeds on soil, tamp lightly, and keep moist until germination. Ongoing germination for six weeks or so. Dies back in winter after the first frost.
A Wicca standard. Rumored to be part of the famous Witch's "Flying Formula." Traditional usage: external application as a muscle relaxant and pain reliever. Do not ingest. Contains atropine.
