AKA Echinopsis pachanoi, Saint Peter cactus, Wachuma. A very easy to cultivate, fast growing, columnar cactus that can reach heights of 15 feet, native to the Andes. Traditionally used by native shaman in Ecuador and Peru due to its psychoactive alkaloids. The huge, white flowers draw a virtual hoedown of various pollinators during their 36-hour bloom, including many species of bees. The flowers are spectacular. Grows wild throughout the Americas.

I prefer a mix of half sand with half commercial cactus mix; place the seeds on top, lightly cover with a thin layer of perlite, and add a humidity dome during the germination phase. use a heat mat or lights to keep temps near 75-80F.

A blue-green skinned cactus that has a limited number of very short, non-invasive spines, relying instead upon a variety of alkaloids to keep it safe from predators. Hardy to about 30F, withstands light frost. Grows well all over many parts of California with no care, in spite of our rainy season being the opposite of their preferred habitat. Do not water during winter. Can grow a foot or two per year.

30 seeds per packet, Open Pollinated, Untreated, NO GMOs.
