'Piper's Hi-P' Dent Corn, High Protein variety, gold and blue, N.C., 3 sizes
A superior variety of corn for animal feed or corn flour. Tests show this is very high in usable protein. Developed by Sam Piper to form Piper’s High Protein (PHP) corn, a high quality protein-based maize originating from Native American seed stock. Pesticide-free plants.
The 8-foot tall plants produce 8 to 9 inch ears which average 14 rows of 60 kernels in a row.
Grown and developed in North Carolina specifically for its high levels of amino acids and digestibility. University of Missouri lab tests show PHP is one of the highest protein corn varieties currently available in America.
A White Buffalo Trading exclusive.
NOTE: Crop failure for 2020.
However, my Hopi Blue corn has just as much protein content (above 10%), as does my Wapsie Valley dent corn. Both are Native American heirloom varieties sold here.
