100 'Burley 21' Smoking Tobacco seeds, N. tabacum
The Burley variety is a long time favorite of US tobacco growers.
It grows to 6-7 feet and is a reliable producer of large heavy leaves.
It does well in a wide range of climates and matures in 65-70 days.
The leaves make a strong full flavored smoke that is commonly used as a blend in cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobaccos.
Full sun, moderate water. start indoors. Do not bury seeds. Mist with water often.
Cure leaves in shade for several weeks, then cut and store. If growing for seed, let it go; if growing for leaves, cut the seed stalks off the plant. See my tobacco page under Plant Lore.
